Thomas C. Shetterly was confirmed as Commissioner of the Second District on June 14, 2006.

Commissioner Shetterly is a founding member of the Chestnut Ridge Chapter of Trout Unlimited and has been an Executive Board Member since 1995. He served as chapter president in 1997-98. He has been actively involved in fish habitat projects at Youghiogheny River Lake. He is chairman of the Morgan Run Acid Mine Remediation Project and a member of the Jonathan Run Remediation Committee.

In 2005, Commissioner Shetterly received Trout Unlimited’s Distinguished Service Award and was also named Fayette County Conservationist of the Year.

Commissioner Shetterly is retired after 40 years in commercial construction. He has three children and nine grandchildren.
