Print maps are available at no charge from Commission offices or by completing our Free Publications order form. Descriptions and links are provided below for our most popular maps. County/Regional Maps
PA State Parks - The PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) provides online maps for all Pennsylvania state parks. Website: DCNR State Parks - "Find a Park" page.
County General Highway Maps - Shows all public roads, including state, township and forest roads. Lakes, rivers, and streams in the counties are also shown. Pennsylvania Atlas and Gazetteer - This comprehensive printed guide book contains topographic maps that list roads, mountains with elevation contours, forest areas, marshes, waterways, boat ramps, and dams. TopoZone - Provides recreational and professional topographic maps. Also provides custom digital topographic data sets for Web, GIS, and CAD applications. Site has every USGS 1:100,000, 1:63,360, 1:25,000, and 1:24,000 scale topographic map for the United States. Website: www.topozone.com.
U.S. Forest Service - Publishes maps of the Allegheny National Forest, detailing all the forest service roads, as well as the locations of the region's trout waters. Available maps include maps include an administrative map of the entire forest including Forest Service Roads, topographic maps of the region (31 quadrangles), and the hydrographic map of the Allegheny Reservoir (PA & NY). U.S. Geological Survey - An index showing the topographic maps for each quadrant of the state is free. The index includes the area covered by each quadrangle map, its name, scale, and year of survey. These maps show "structure" (depths, bottom contours, dropoffs, etc.) and are available for several lakes.

Delaware River and Outdoor Recreation - A series of 10 maps of the Delaware River are available ($10 per set). These are waterproof maps showing physical characteristics and recreational facilities of the river from Hancock, NY to Trenton, NJ. Susquehanna Water Trails - Detailed canoeing map of the Susquehanna River through the Endless Mountains of northeast Pennsylvania. Navigation/Nautical Charts
Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers Navigation Charts - The Ohio, Monongahela and Allegheny River charts are bound sets of photo maps, in color, size 8 x 14 inches, scale 1 inch = 1,500 feet. All three sets show channel sailing line, US lights, daymarks, arrival point markers for locks, normal pool elevations, mouth of tributary streams, location of bars, channel buoys, bridges, aerial and submarine crossings, docks, terminals, landings and navigation structures. No soundings are shown. A listing of small boat harbors, ramps, landings and commercial river terminals is included in the back of each navigation chart.
