| Philadelphia, PA, 8/31/10 - The 7th Annual Philly FUN Fishing Fest will be held on Saturday September 11th, 2010 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. This free event is sponsored by the Philadelphia Water Department with the support of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, Schuylkill River Development Corporation, and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation. The event gives people the opportunity to fish the banks of the Schuylkill River and experience the great outdoors in the middle of a busy city. The event is open to all skill levels and ages. There will be prizes, fun activities for kids, and fishing skills instruction. A limited supply of bait and rods will be available. Participants age 16 and older are not required to possess a fishing license during this event. Come join us! Registration is required.
