| The Pennsylvania Bass Federation, Inc., Pennsylvania DCNR/Bureau of State Parks, The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, PA SEA Grant, SONS of Lake Erie, Marsh Creek Bass Club, Ltd and Poor Boy Baits are hosting the 7th annual Black Bass Workshop at DCNR’s Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie PA, on May 4th, 2007.
This workshop provides anglers, resource managers, and facilities managers an opportunity to hear discussions on aquatic resource subjects that relate to black bass management, black bass habitat management, and black bass angling, plus discussions on boat launch and fish weigh-in facilities. The Pennsylvania Black Bass Workshop 7 is a continuing effort that began in 1999.
PABBW-7 is a workshop where bass anglers, biologists, conservation officers, resource managers, and facility managers will exchange ideas, information, and knowledge pertaining to the management of bass fisheries, bass habitat, bass angling, and recreational facilities.
The “Lake Erie Black Bass Population Dynamics” theme will have a Great Lakes focus and target black bass fisheries and black bass fishing in Lake Erie. Discussions on black bass management for Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio are planned. Specific topics will be: Bass Population Dynamics, Black Bass Health Issues, Invasive Species and What is “Black Bass Management” - a nominal group discussion. There will also be an opportunity for a limited number of attendees to sample some of the smallmouth bass fishery by way of a recreational fishing event on Saturday, May 5th, 2007.
PABBW-7 is open to anybody who is interested in black bass conservation! Attend and share your knowledge and experience with other bass anglers, tournament organizers, fisheries biologists, park managers, environmental and collegiate educators, plus state and federal agency administrators.
