Virgin Run Lake is stocked with trout a number of times throughout the year and is part of the Early Season Trout-Stocked Waters Program. The Commission also stocks the lake with channel catfish fingerling to supplement the warmwater species found in the lake. Other than the Early Season Trout-Stocked Waters Program, all species of fish are managed under Commonwealth Inland Waters regulations.

BOATING

Boating is limited to boats powered by electric motors and un-powered boats. There is a surfaced launch ramp and associated parking facilities.

To be used at the lake, boats must be registered or have a valid launch permit (permits are issued by the Commission or PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources).
