| Lake Winola |
Located
in Wyoming County,
Lake
Winola is a 200-acre impoundment owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and managed by the Fish
and Boat Commission for public fishing and boating.
FISHING
The Commission stocks Lake Winola with trout several
times during the year.
Special regulations for bass are in place at Winola. Only bass less than 12 inches and over 18 inches in length
may be harvested. Refer to Big Bass Program for NO HARVEST dates.
The daily creel limit is 6, but only one of those bass may be over 18 inches in length.
Statewide regulations for Commonwealth Inland Waters apply for
all other species of fish.
A fishing pier is available for persons with disabilities.
BOATING
There is a surfaced launch ramp and associated parking facilities.
Un-powered boats may be moored at the lake in accordance with Commission
property regulations. To be used at the lake, boats must be registered or
have a valid launch permit (permits are issued by the Commission or
PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources). |
