Join the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission for a week of events and activities to promote safe boating.

EXPO EVENTS

Southcentral Region - Saturday, May 21st
LocationSeven Points Public Boat Launch, 6145 Seven Points Road, Hesston, PA 16647
Time:  10 a.m. – 2 p.m. 
Partners:  PFBC, Army Corps of Engineers, Coast Guard Auxiliary and more!
Description:  This informal event is sure to help you prepare for the 2022 boating season:

    • Review boating regulations with a Waterways Conservation Officer
    • Learn how to properly select and fit your lifejacket
    • Review aids to navigation
    • Conduct a safety check of your boat before heading out on the water
    • Review paddling safety requirements
    • Visit demonstration booths and meet with boating safety specialists from Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and other partner organizations

This event is free. Prepare for a fun and safe boating season with the experts!

Location:  Dry Brooks Launch, Blue Marsh Lake, 1336 Palisades Drive, Leesport, PA 19533
Time:  10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Partners:  PFBC, Army Corps of Engineers, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Aqua Om Paddle Outfitter, Conestoga River Club and more!

Location:  Lake Wallenpaupack
Description:  Coast Guard Auxiliary will be offering complimentary vessel safety checks.

Northwest Region - Sunday, May 22nd
Location:  Walnut Creek Marina, 241 Manchester Road, Fairview, PA 16415
Time10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Partners:  PFBC, Coast Guard Auxiliary, PA Sea Grant, SONS and PA Steelhead and more!

Northeast Region - Monday, May 23rd
Location:  Industrial Point River Access on the Lackawaxen River, Honesdale
Time: 11:30am
Partners:  PFBC, DCNR, USFWS, Wayne and Pike Trails and Waterways Alliance, Wayne County Commissioners and numerous other local partners
Description:  Highlight and celebrate public access investments and local community efforts to build a water trail in the Lackawaxen River.*

*RSVP is not required but would be helpful for planning. The event will be open to the general public. RSVP to lackawaxenrivertrails@gmail.com.
