With a mission to provide and expand fishing and boating opportunities across the Commonwealth, the Commission engages with businesses that offer those opportunities. The Commission is charged with ensuring safety and the protection of Pennsylvania's aquatic natural resources and is the regulating agency for the businesses and operators of boat rentals (liveries), charter boats, and fishing guides.
We team up with partners in conservation efforts to keep access areas clean and beautiful, as well as partners who want to expand the love of fishing to those that do not have tackle through our tackle loaner program. The work of every partner is vital to caring for our natural resources and making opportunities for fishing and boating for years to come.
