WALNUT CREEK MARINA
Located on Lake Erie, Walnut Creek Marina has provided access to world-class fishing and boat mooring facilities since 1974. Visitors to the marina office may purchase ice, fishing licenses, launch permits, or rent seasonal or transient boat slips. Restrooms, snack machines, and a fish measuring station are also available during office hours, in addition to information on current wave height and wind speed/direction.
Walnut Creek Marina is owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and operated by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. The marina has 72 boat slips that are seasonally leased from mid-May to late November. (More information about leasing a slip can be found below.) Transient mooring is also available. Parking for over 100 vehicles and trailers is provided on the property. Public boat launch facilities consist of six concrete launch ramps to accommodate motorboats and one ramp for hand-carry boats. Sewage pump-out facilities, an aquatic invasive species (AIS) disposal station, and a new state of the art fish cleaning station are also on site, free of charge and open 24 hours a day.
The marina is staffed seasonally from May to November, while fishing opportunities and the boat launch facilities are open year-round. During spring and summer, walleye and yellow perch are the most popular fish caught in the lake. In the fall and winter, anglers look for steelhead and brown trout which are caught in Walnut Creek. SLIP RENTAL
Slips are available on a first come, first served basis. If you'd like to get on our waiting list, please click here.
When a seasonal slip becomes available, the PFBC will invite individuals on the waiting list to sign a slip rental agreement and submit payment. All seasonal slip rentals require a current signed slip rental agreement and payment in full before a boat can be moored at the marina.
We offer two seasonal slip rental options based on size of the boat:
- Standard slips accommodate boats up to 23 feet long and 8 feet wide. Cost is $800 per season.
- Premium slips accommodate boats up to 25 feet long and 8 feet wide. Cost is $1,100 per season.
Transient mooring is available on a limited basis at $15 per day/night.
