The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has many programs and materials available for teachers. Teachers can also connect with a broad network of PFBC partners. 

Activities & Education Portal
PFBC’s Activities & Education Portal, is a FREE online resource where youth, parents, teachers and informal educators can find fun, educational and skill building videos and numerous, PRINTABLE activity sheets, coloring pages, and publications by topic (e.g. aquatic resources, fish, amphibians, reptiles, fishing, kayak fishing, fly fishing, water safety and paddle sports). This portal provides multiple ways of discovery and interaction. Each category includes coloring pages, crafts, skills building activities, videos, publications and more.

Publications found on this online resource are not available in print, but are saved in PDF format for easy printing at your home/school!

PA Envirothon

PA Trout in the Classroom
Trout in the Classroom (TIC) is a conservation-oriented, interdisciplinary, environmental education program for students grades 3-12. Designed to incorporate environmental education into school curriculums, TIC is implemented during the school year, September to May.

Collecting Aquatic Organisms
Educators, water quality monitors, scientists and those collecting aquatic organisms for any reason 16 years of age or older must have a valid fishing license. Additional permits may be required.
